Quick couplings for compressed air
Universal-type quick couplings for instantaneous connection and disconnection of tools, hoses, and accessories in compressed air installations. Available in male thread, female thread, hose tail, tube, and tube with spring configurations, in sizes of 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″.
The universal system allows for one-handed coupling and decoupling of the tool, automatically cutting off the air flow upon disconnection to prevent pressure loss.
Common applications for blow guns
Compressed air guns are used in virtually all professional sectors: cleaning machined parts in automotive workshops, blowing chips in carpentry, removing dust from electronic components and HVAC equipment, rapid drying of surfaces after washing processes, and cleaning filters in industrial and agricultural machinery.
In environments where the operator works with the gun for extended periods, the silent model reduces auditory fatigue and improves workplace conditions.
Types of quick couplings available
Male universal couplings
These are screwed directly into the air intake of the drop pipe, manifold, or wall. Available in 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″. They serve as the fixed connection point where the hose or tool is attached.
Female universal couplings
For air intakes with a male thread. Same sizes. They are commonly used as an intermediate piece between the network and the hose reel or spiral hose.
Universal couplings with hose tail
These are inserted into the quick coupling of the tool or hose. Diameters from 6 to 12 mm. They are the piece that fits into the coupling body.
Universal couplings for tubing
Direct connection to rigid or semi-rigid nylon or polyurethane tubing, without the need for a thread. Sizes from 6/4 to 12/10 mm. Available in standard versions and with a retaining spring that prevents accidental disconnection due to pulling or vibrations.
Adapters
Transition pieces to make tools with different threads or diameters compatible. Male and female adapters in 1/4″, 3/8″, and 1/2″; hose tail adapters from 6 to 12 mm.
Hose connector couplings
For direct connection of rubber hoses using a clamp. Sizes of 14/6, 17/8, and 19/10 mm. Used in installations with flexible hoses where rigid tubing is not employed.
Which quick coupling do you need?
The choice depends on two factors: the type of connection your air intake has (thread, tube, or hose) and the diameter or thread size of your tool. In most workshops and small installations, the most common set is a 1/4″ male thread universal coupling fixed to the drop pipe or manifold, combined with a hose tail adapter on each tool. For installations with nylon or polyurethane tubing, tube couplings with a spring offer the most secure fastening.
