Filters for Compressed Air Systems

Complete filtration system for industrial compressed air. From cyclonic separation of coarse condensate to micro-filtration at 0.01 µm and odor removal with activated carbon. Each filtration stage protects the next, and together, they ensure clean, dry air at every point of consumption.
Available in 1/2″ to 2-1/2″ thread sizes, with replacement filter cartridges and mounting accessories for all sizes.

Filtration Stages: From Untreated to Pure Air

In a compressed air system, filters are installed in series after the receiver tank and dryer. Each stage retains a different type of contaminant, and the order is crucial for the system to function correctly and for the filters to last:
Cyclonic Separator
First stage. Removes water droplets and coarse particles by centrifugal effect, without a filter element that can clog. This initial protection extends the life of subsequent filters. Available in all sizes from 1/2″ to 2-1/2″.
Second stage. Retains solid particles up to 1 micron (dust, scale, rust) and coarser oil aerosol droplets. It is essential before any fine filter to avoid prematurely saturating higher precision elements.
Third stage. Coalescing filtration that separates suspended oil and water microparticles. Provides air suitable for most industrial applications, including painting, automation, and precision pneumatic tools.
Fourth stage. Maximum filtration precision. Removes residual oil traces to a purity level suitable for food, medical, and laboratory applications where contamination is not permissible.
Complementary stage for applications where it is necessary to remove odors, hydrocarbon vapors, and chemical contaminants from the air. It is installed as the last stage of the filtration train, after the micro filter.

Filtration Accessories

Automatic Drain for Filters

Evacuates accumulated condensate from the filter bowl without manual intervention. Essential in unattended installations or those with long shifts.

Indicator and Manometer

Measure the pressure drop across the filter. When the difference exceeds the threshold, the cartridge is clogged and must be replaced. The indicator is visual (economical); the manometer provides continuous readings (more precise).

Connection Kits

Allow 2, 3, or 4 filters to be mounted in series on the same support, forming the complete filtration train. Available in double, triple, and quadruple configurations, in all sizes.

How to Choose Your Filter Configuration

The minimum configuration for a standard industrial installation is a cyclonic separator + 1µm pre-filter + 0.1µm fine filter. If the air comes into contact with food, patients, or sensitive processes, the 0.01µm micro filter is added and, if necessary, activated carbon.
The filter’s thread size must match the diameter of the system’s piping. If in doubt, our technical team can size the appropriate configuration based on your compressor’s flow rate and the required purity level.
